I am starting a blog story that has a Christian allegory to it. I hope to continue this each week as episodes. I hope you can enjoy it.
Awakened to Redemption
Episode 1: The Fall
Over 50,000 years ago, Endundor was full of life that the Creator had created to for companionship. He created the First Man and the First Woman to be made in His image. They were given the task to take care of the land, names the creatures that walked among it, and create a relationship with each other and with the Creator. He gave them one command to obey of their freedoms. There was a spring that stood in the middle of the forest they lived in. It would run into a pond from an everlasting hole in a giant boulder. He said it was the Pure Water of Life, and no human should drink or touch of it. The water is of purity of the Creator’s essence.
One day four of the Creator’s general guardians tried to rebel against Him. He was sadden by this evil and banished the Four Guardians with their followers to the world of Endundor. They become known as The Four Demons. These demons knowing they could not defeat the Creator directly decided to attack His creation. They quickly corrupted many of the creatures and converted them into evil spirits. Soon the demon named Chaos transformed himself into a serpent and began hanging near by the Rock. The First Woman would each day past near the pond and noticed a creature with beautiful scales lying in the sun, and the creature drank from the forbidden pond. After a few days of observing, she decided to visit this unusual creature.
Chaos noticed the female found interest, and he acted as if he did not notice her approach. She hesitantly walked right up to him and shyly asked him a question.
“Hello there, may I ask what you are?”
Chaos smiled and responded, “Well some call me belly-walker while others call me serpent. Who may you be?”
“I am called a Woman.”
“So that is your name? The Creator did not give you a name?”
“Name, is not Woman enough?”
“I guess… but who are you, inside?”
“Creator told us we are made in His image, and that we rule this land?”
“Yet you have no name. Did you know that this Spring would give you that individuality. The Creator does not want you to believe you can do things on your own.”
Woman looked into the water, and she could see her reflection in it. Chaos dipped his tail into the water and dropped a drip of the water on his tongue. She observed his reaction and saw nothing bad happen to him.
“But… He commanded us not too drink…”
“See! He does not want you to think for yourself. He wants you to stay under His control. Come… drink!”
Woman knelt down by the pond. She stared at the water as it ripped from the Rock water hitting the surface. She slowly reached her hand out, and closed her eyes as she reached for the water. Chaos slithered up the Woman to her shoulder and whispered into her ear.
“Go ahead, no harm will come to you. Look at me I am fine.”
Woman knelt her head down toward the water as she grasped it in her hand. Chaos mischievously smiled as she brought the water to her mouth. Woman sipped the water. She opened her eyes waiting for something to happen, and she felt something change inside. She realized that she could own herself. She pulled out a wooden cup and filled it to bring it to the Man. As she walked she noticed that the animals seemed to fear her, and the plants did not appear the same. Man was working on a beaver dam when he saw Woman coming toward him. As she came closer he noticed something different about her.
“Man, I have something wonderful to give you to drink.”
“What is it my dear?”
“Just drink and you will know more about yourself than you believe.”
“But Creator says all we need is right here. Is this not from the Spring we drink of.”
Woman thought to herself and decided to lie, “No, this is a combination of clear fruits that I have made for you.”
Man held the water to see it, “Woman this is from the forbidden spring. I can smell the sweetness.”
“Man, yes it is, but I feel I can do anything I want now. There is not bond that can hold me,” Woman approached Man seductively and reminded him of his bond with her.
“Man, we are one, and I cannot face the world alone.”
Man seeing that she means more to him than his own life drank. His eyes closed for a moment as he swallowed the sweet drink. He could feel something change in him as he opened his eyes. He looked at Woman with a selfish gaze as they embraced each other. The world changed as they stood there staring all around them. Animals showed fear in their eyes. Even the plants lost their exotic beauty.
The Four stood afar in the forest watching their evil enter the Creator’s world. They knew that a new age had began. Sin is now part of the world. Creator came down to visit Man and Woman. They stood before Him and demanded names, more lands, and a self-identity. Creator began to cry as he saw what he loved most change before Him. He exiled them from His Golden Forest.
“My children, sin separates you from me, and now you must sacrifice each week an innocent lamb for forgiveness of your sin.”
Man changed his name to Oden, and Woman changed her name to Jesia. They were saddened to leave the Golden Forest, but they thought they would find something better outside. At first it seemed well and good until it became hard. Food was hard to come by since they did not have a garden, and then Oden had to do something he had never done. He had to kill and animal to feed himself and his wife. They realized they had made a huge mistake, and began the sacrifice weekly.
